Gut Neuhof is a former mansion on the right bank of the Weser in the Heimsen district of the city of Petershagen in the Minden-Lübbecke district .

history

Due to inheritance disputes, the Neuhof estate was founded in 1599 by the widow Sophie Klenke of the former owner of Schluesselburg Castle . This happened by amalgamating four aristocratic courts of the outer castle of Schlüsselburg on the opposite right bank of the Weser. Johann Georg Voigt, the governor of the Electorate of Hanover, acquired the estate in 1698. At the beginning of the 18th century, he rebuilt all the baroque estate buildings. The arrangement of the main building and the gardens was based on a central axis starting from the entrance. The present mansion was built in 1748.

Todays use

The former estate is privately owned. The facility is accessible to the public to a limited extent and is used as a fully stationary residential facility as part of the integration assistance .

Building and garden

Between the main driveway and the two-story manor house are the farm buildings on both sides of the central axis. There is a pavilion on the Weser side of the garden.

A baroque garden was laid out in the 18th century. The topography of the baroque garden has been preserved to this day.
