Gustav diaper
Gustav Windel (born December 14, 1873 in Senne near Bielefeld, † October 3, 1954 ) was a German entrepreneur .
Career
Windel studied at the Royal Mechanical Engineering School in Hagen and at the Technical University of Hanover . He then joined his parents' business, the processing facility for cotton and linen yarns and fabrics Hermann Windel GmbH in Windelsbleiche . In 1898 he took over the management of the company, in 1904 he became the owner. Under him, the bleaches developed into a well-known company in the textile finishing industry.
In addition, he was chairman of the supervisory board of Bielefelder AG for mechanical weaving and a member of the supervisory board of the Wiesental AG equipment factory in Brombach. He was a member of the Bielefeld Chamber of Industry and Commerce , chairman of the linen trade association and chairman of the Association of West German finishing companies for linen fabrics.
In 1931 he acquired the Schluesselburg manor , which is still owned by the family today.
