Bauer & Schaurte Karcher

The Bauer-and-Schaurte plants in Neuss were as Rheinische screw and nut Fabrik AG, Bauer and Schaurte founded on 1 July 1876 by a native of the Sauerland Christian Schaurte and Cologne Georg Bauer, of since 1917 Werner T. Schaurte continued and in 1980 merged with the Karcher works (including in Beckingen / Saar) under the name “ Bauer & Schaurte und Karcher ” . In 1993 Saarstahl tore its subsidiary BSK (Bauer, Schaurte, Karcher) into bankruptcy until the factories were bought by the Valois Group ( France ) in 1994 .

Even after the takeover, the factories did not bring the desired success, so that the US group Textron took over the company in 1996 and managed the Textron Fastening Systems division until 2006 . In autumn 2006, this division was sold to the corporation Platinum Equity and renamed Acument Global Technologies .

The Indian investor Ruia bought the then insolvent company in February 2011 . In March 2012, Ruia Global Fasteners filed for insolvency again for the plants in Neuss, Schrozberg and Beckingen (Saarland) and Neuwied (Rhineland-Palatinate). The operation was then profitable again and was taken over by the investor Whitesell in 2013 . In July 2014, however , Whitesell announced the closure of the plant in Neuss and massive layoffs at the other locations in Neuwied, Beckingen and Schrozberg. In 2015 the Whitesell plants in Schrozberg and Beckingen are integrated into the Dutch Nedschroef Holding.

Bauer and Schaurte is known among other things for the screws formats Allen ( In nensechskantschraube B except u nd S chaurte) and Verbus ( Ver gütete Hexagon Head Bolt B except u nd S chaurte).
