criticism

Criticism of this project is mainly expressed by environmental groups. Friedhart Knolle , geologist and active member of various associations dedicated to the Harz, spoke in the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung of a "messing up" of the landscape protection area, which, in contrast to the treetop path, does not make a constructive contribution to environmental education and is therefore unsustainable.

Top lights

The treetop path was integrated into the concept of the salt and light festival , with the top lighting being carried out every year on the last weekend in August : The facility is decorated with a light installation on the crown, which is accompanied by a beach club with a cocktail bar and tightrope walkers.
