The Bavaria Cruiser 34 is a series- produced sailing yacht from the German manufacturer Bavaria Yachtbau . It has been available since 2016, there is a 2- and 3-cabin version.
Construction and construction
The hull and deck are made in a sandwich construction with a foam core using the vacuum infusion process . Farr Yacht Design is responsible for the design and construction . There are two versions of the keel : a shallow keel with a depth of 1.58 meters and the normal version with a depth of 2.02 meters. The standard version of the Bavaria Cruiser 34 is equipped with a diesel tank with 150 liters, a water tank with 150 liters and a motor with 14 kW power. In the cockpit there are two control stations (Twin wheel). There is a fold-out bathing platform in the stern . When the platform is folded in, it serves as a stern closure and seat for the helmsman .
Facility
The standard version of the Bavaria Cruiser 34 has three cabins and a wet room. In the foredeck there is a double bed with a length of 2.00 meters and a shoulder width of 1.70 meters. The galley is arranged in an L-shape on the starboard side . The two aft cabins of the same size are 2 meters long, 1.40 meters wide in the head area and tapered to 1.00 meters at the foot end. The aft cabin on the starboard side has a hull window, the one on the port side does not. The saloon table can be folded, but not lowered. This means that the saloon bench on the starboard side cannot be used as a double berth. Amidships on the port side is the wet room and the foldable chart table. In the 2-cabin version there is a slightly larger aft cabin on the starboard side. The wet cell and the locker on the port side are also larger.
Sails
The standard version of the yacht is equipped with fully battened mainsail equipped, a furling sail was optional. The main sail is trimmed using two separate sheet pulls . These replace the traveler . The bulkhead pulls for the mainsail are deflected on the mast and then run onto the two halyard winches in the cockpit. The furling genoa is slightly overlapping at 106%. The pods for the genoa run aft through adjustable pick-up points on the deck onto the winches for the genoa . The sails load rating is 4.1.
Classification according to German law
- The sailing yacht does not have to be registered as it is less than 15 m long.
- The sailing yacht is not subject to inland shipping registration because it does not displace 15 m³ .
