The Bavaria Cruiser 41 is a series- produced sailing yacht from the German manufacturer Bavaria Yachtbau , which was presented in 2013 and sold until 2018. Since 2020 the yacht has been offered again under the same model name, modified.

Construction and construction

The fuselage is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) and is hand -laid. The deck has a sandwich construction with a foam core. Farr Yacht Design is responsible for the design and construction . There are two keel versions : a shallow keel with a 1.65 meter draft and the normal version with a 1.95 meter draft. The standard version of the Bavaria Cruiser 41 is equipped with a diesel tank with 210 liters, a water tank with 360 liters and a motor with 29 kW power.

In the cockpit there are two control stations (Twin wheel). There is a fold-out bathing platform in the stern . When the platform is folded in, it serves as a stern closure and seat for the helmsman .

Facility

The standard version of the Bavaria Cruiser 41 has three cabins and two wet cells. In the foredeck there is a double bed with a length of 2.18 meters and a shoulder width of 2.05 meters. The galley is arranged alongside to port . The two aft cabins of the same size are 2 meters long, 1.64 meters wide at the head and tapered to 1.24 meters at the foot end. The saloon table can be folded, but not lowered. This means that the saloon bench on the starboard side cannot be used as a double berth . Amidships on the starboard side is the chart table. The interior was supplied with veneers made from Bossé , a wood similar to mahogany . Interior fittings with veneers made of oak or teak were optionally possible.

Sails

The standard version of the yacht is equipped with fully battened mainsail equipped, a furling sail was optional. The main sail is trimmed using two separate sheet pulls . These replace the traveler . The furling genoa is slightly overlapping at 106%. The sails load rating is 4.4.

Classification according to German law

  • The sailing yacht does not have to be registered as it is less than 15 m long.
  • The sailing yacht is not subject to inland shipping registration because it does not displace 15 m³ .
