Bavarian State Directory of Intangible Cultural Heritage
The Bavarian State Directory of Intangible Cultural Heritage is a directory of intangible cultural expressions in Bavaria , as candidates for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO eligible.

On the recommendation of the Bavarian Expert Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Bavarian State Government may include cultural expressions in the Bavarian State Directory of Intangible Cultural Heritage that meet the criteria of the UNESCO Convention for the Preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage and its implementation, which is coordinated by the German UNESCO Commission will correspond.
The great cultural diversity in Bavaria is to be taken into account by setting up a separate regional directory. The application for the Bavarian State Directory of Intangible Cultural Heritage takes place within the framework of the national implementation process of the UNESCO Convention for the Preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The Bavarian State Government has set up an advice center to support the application process; Since March 1, 2017, this has been based at the Institute for Folklore of the Commission for Bavarian State History at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences .
The Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and Home has been responsible for the Bavarian State Directory of Intangible Cultural Heritage since November 2018 .
Entries
As part of the previous four application rounds in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019, the following 48 forms of cultural expression and six entries in the register of good practice examples of the preservation of the intangible cultural heritage were included in the state directory. 26 of them have so far been entered in the nationwide register of intangible cultural heritage .
