Daniel Giger (born October 13, 1949 in Bern ) is a former Swiss sword fencer .

Career

Daniel Giger was vice world champion with the team in 1983 in Vienna in the singles and 1977 in Buenos Aires , 1981 in Clermont-Ferrand and 1982 in Rome . In 1970 in Ankara and 1979 in Melbourne he also won bronze with her. He took part in the Olympic Games three times . In 1972 he reached the final with the Swiss team in Munich , where Hungary prevailed 8: 4. Together with Guy Evéquoz , François Suchanecki , Peter Lötscher and Christian Kauter , he received the silver medal. In the singles he was eliminated in the semi-finals.
