The Bayswater City Soccer Club ( Bayswater City for short ) is an Australian soccer club from Bayswater , a suburb of the Western Australian capital Perth .

history

The club is the result of numerous mergers. In 1980, after the merger of Lathlain Meazza (founded 1973) and Rosemount Juventus (founded 1978), Rosemount Meazza was created . In 1981 this merged with Bayswater United (founded in 1963) to form Bayswater Inter . In 1995 the club was renamed Bayswater City, and a little later it was merged with the Stirling Panthers , making the club known as Bayswater City Panthers for the next few years . After the merger with the Panthers was dissolved in 2003, they returned to the name that is still valid today. Bayswater City's roots, like rival Perth SC , lie in the Italian population.

The club's greatest successes come in the recent past. In 2013 they won the state championship of Western Australia for the first time and also the Western Australian Cup competition (1-0 against Ashfield SC ). In 2014 both titles were successfully defended. By winning the 2014 cup, they were also qualified for the first edition of the FFA Cup , where they failed in the first round with 0-2 at the A-League club Melbourne Victory .
