The BBV LandSiedlung GmbH is a service company of the Bavarian Farmers' Association based in Munich and emerged from the previous Bayerische Landessiedlungsgesellschaft .

history

The Bayerische Landessiedlung (BLS) was founded in 1917 as Bayerische Landessiedlung GmbH with the participation of the Bavarian state and another 251 people and institutions. The Free State of Bavaria has parted with its stake as a majority shareholder as part of its privatization projects. As a result, the Bavarian Farmers' Association took over one of the three main business areas of BLS, the agricultural service area, with effect from August 1, 2006 and founded BBV LandSiedlung GmbH. With BBV LandSiedlung GmbH, the farmers' association is expanding its range of services for members, especially in the field of operational development and structural improvement.

Business purpose

The area of responsibility includes in particular the preparation and implementation of land consolidation procedures on behalf of the Rural Development Offices. These include the so-called accelerated consolidation process, the volunteer land swap and the new method of the volunteers use exchange . These instruments facilitate the management of the agriculturally used areas and create space for nature and environmental protection. In addition, measures to reduce erosion , improve biodiversity and water quality are supervised and implemented.

The second main task is the supervision of measures for individual farm investment promotion and construction planning. In addition, agricultural land and farm properties are mediated.

Other main areas of activity are regenerative energies (biogas, photovoltaics, wind power) and services for municipalities and communities (demography, integrated rural development, energy concepts and plans, village renewal).

Right of first refusal

The National Assembly of the Weimar Republic passed the Reich Settlement Act (RSG) on August 11, 1919 . The RSG was the first law passed after the constitution was passed. As the successor company to BLS, BBV LandSiedlung is the body for Bavaria that can exercise the right of first refusal under the RSG in favor of farmers for certain special cases of property transactions.
