Beak Iceland ( English for Schnabel island is) a 6/2 circular and up to km long, 360 m high island off the east coast of Trinity Peninsula at the northern end of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the northeastern part of the Prince Gustav Canal , it lies northeast of Eagle Island , from which it is separated by the 350 m wide Paso Vidaurrazaga strait .
The island was probably discovered during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) led by Otto Nordenskjöld . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey gave it the descriptive name based on its shape and because of its geographical location to Eagle Island and Tail Island .
