Beata Stoczyńska , née Sutula (born August 21, 1961 in Sieradz , Poland ) is a Polish diplomat.

Career

Stoczyńska graduated from the University of Wroclaw with a degree in economics in 1986 . She completed diplomatic courses at Stanford University and the Institute for International Affairs in New Delhi , as well as a diploma program from the Asia Pacific School of Economics and Management at the Australian National University .

From 1992 to 1993 she was the deputy director of the economic department in the Ministry of Economic Cooperation with Abroad. In 1993 she moved to the Department of Foreign Affairs in Africa, Asia, Australia and Oceania. From 1996 to 2000 she served as a Chargé d'affaires at the Polish Embassy in Canberra ( Australia ). Then she became Deputy Director, first of the Asia, Australia and Latin America Department, then of the Asia-Pacific Department. From 2009 to 2014 she was the Polish Ambassador to New Zealand . This was followed by the post of Director of the Infrastructure Office in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2014 to 2015 and then the post of Deputy Director of the Asia-Pacific Department. On February 19, 2018, Stoczyńska received her appointment as Polish Ambassador to Jakarta . She handed over her accreditation in Indonesia on April 4 and in East Timor on July 16, 2019 . It is also accredited for ASEAN .

Stoczyńska is married with two children and speaks English, French and some Russian.

She has written numerous books and articles on Asian and Polish foreign policy in Asia and Africa, the foreign policy priorities of Australia and East Asia at the turn of the century. Stoczyńska also gave lectures on Asian countries at various universities. In 2012 she was awarded the Crystal Alumnus Award ( Kryształowy Alumnus in Polish ) by the University of Economics in Wroclaw .
