Beate Dölling

Beate Dölling (* 1961 in Osnabrück ) is a German writer. The former radio journalist was best known for her books for children and young people.

Life

She has had her main residence there since she came to Berlin to study in 1982 . From 1988 to 2001 she worked as a radio journalist at RIAS Berlin, which later became Deutschlandradio Kultur , mainly in the children's radio department. Meanwhile, she created features, reports and acoustic collages for literary, cultural and music editors. Some of her work was also broadcast on NDR, HR, Radio Bremen and SFB.

She has written articles and reviews for numerous daily newspapers, including Der Tagesspiegel and Süddeutsche Zeitung , as well as for magazines such as B. play & learn . As a pedagogue, she was also a lecturer at adult education centers and head of several writing workshops at elementary schools and grammar schools, including German-Spanish (Joan Miró School, Berlin) and German-Polish writing workshops (Frankfurt / Oder). They were partly organized by the Berlin Academy of the Arts. She also gave creative writing workshops for teachers and lawyers.

She lived in a village near Seelow for a few years and now lives again with her daughter in Berlin-Kreuzberg .
