Elisa Hendrik Bakhuijs , better known as Beb or Bep Bakhuys (born April 16, 1909 in Pekalongan , Dutch East Indies , † July 7, 1982 in The Hague ) was a Dutch football player .

During his career he played for VVV Venlo , ZAC from Zwolle and HBS Craeyenhout, among others . When he moved to FC Metz in France in 1937 , he was the first Dutchman to sign a contract abroad as a professional footballer. After the occupation of Lorraine, he temporarily returned to the Netherlands, which was also occupied. For a while he was ordered to work as a toolmaker in Leipzig in his civilian profession , before his association brought him back to Metz. After the end of his career in 1947, he returned to the Netherlands.

Between 1928 and 1937 he played 23 games for the Dutch national football team and scored 28 goals. Bakhuijs took part in the 1934 World Cup. After he signed the professional contract with Metz in 1937, he had to leave the national team, as only amateurs were allowed to play in the Netherlands at the time.
