Tatsumi Oga ( 男 鹿 辰 巳 ), a well-known thug in the city, goes to Ishiyama High School, where there are only brawls and thugs like him. But Oga is so feared that the demon king decides to send his youngest son Beelzebub into the human world and let Oga raise him there. Oga should take care of the baby until it is powerful enough to be able to destroy humanity one day. However, this plan was decided without Oga's knowledge and so one day he unexpectedly meets Beelzebub on the urban river, who enters into a contract with him. This prevents Oga from straying too far from Beelzebub if he doesn't want to be hit by lightning. This creates numerous problems with the capricious baby, who will accompany him everywhere from now on. Not feeling at all comfortable in the father role, Oga tries to get rid of him at every opportunity. For this he is looking for someone who is more evil than he is, so that the son of the Demon King can be raised by someone else.
