MBLAQ (Hangul: 엠 블랙 , MBLAQ stands for "Music Boys Live In Absolute Quality") is a five-member boy band from South Korea . They made their debut in October 2009 with J.Tune , the label of singer Rain .
Band history
In early October 2009, Rains first heard about J.Tunes' first production. The group of five, MBLAQ, was about to debut in mid-October 2009.
Five days after her first stage experience, the music video and the first EP Just Blaq were released. Even before they made their official debut on the music show M! Countdown a day later, on October 15, 2009, their album reached number 1 in numerous online and offline charts.
MBLAQ began performing various live songs on radio shows and shortly afterwards their first documentary Art Of Seduction was broadcast, in which they were not only accompanied in their everyday lives as budding stars, but also had to complete missions. Among other things, they had to look for a sponsor.
At the end of November 2009, the MBLAQ fan base got its official name: "A +" - due to the fact that all members have the same blood group (in Asia people are said to have certain characteristics based on their blood group, similar to our zodiac signs). Demand also increased overseas. On December 6, 2009, Rain held a fan meeting in Japan, to which he took MBLAQ and introduced it to Japanese K-pop fans. In addition to the songs on their album, they also sang "Oh Yeah" in Japanese. They were also accompanied by Mnet Japan for four days and filmed for a documentary series starting in January 2010. This will show the impressions and experiences of Korean pop stars in Japan. On December 11, 2009, the group released their second single GOOD Luv with the accompanying music video.
On May 16, 2010, MBLAQ released their EP " Y ", which contains five new songs and two instrumental versions. On January 19, 2011, the first studio album Blaq Style was released. In 2012 a compilation for the Japanese market with the title BLAQ Memories followed . They released their fifth EP with Sexy Beat in 2013.

Lee Joon
- Name: Lee Chang-sun ( 이창선 )
- Date of birth: February 7, 1988
Together with Rain he shot Ninja Assassin in Berlin . In the film, Joon plays the younger version of Raizo, who is portrayed as an adult by Rain. He appeared in the mini-drama sequel Jungle Fish 2 and in the drama Housewife Kim Kwang-ja's New Activity .
Cheondung / Thunder
- Name: Park Sang-hyun ( 박상현 )
- Date of birth: October 7, 1990
As a trainee at J-Tune, Cheondung wasn't actually intended to be a member of MBLAQ; Cheondung signed a deal with Cafe Mori shortly after the band's debut and was featured in a commercial with the Wonder Girls. He is the brother of Sandara Park, a member of the former South Korean girl group 2NE1 .
