Beelzefuzz is an American hard rock and doom metal band from Maryland that was formed in 2009.
history
The band was formed in September 2009 after bassist Pug and drummer Rob Jenkins' band Moonshine Mile broke up. As a singer and guitarist Dana Ortt was in the band, who previously worked for the band Dead Men Sway. Together they developed the first songs and recorded the first demos. After the band songs from a 2010 demo were posted online, drummer Darin McCloskey became aware of the band. Since Ortt found that this fit the band, McCloskey came as the new drummer for the line-up. In 2012 the band recorded their debut album in Middletown , Maryland, under the direction of Chris Kozlowski . The self-titled debut was released in 2013 via The Church Within Records .

According to Dana Ortt, the group was inspired by bands like Black Sabbath , Dio , Lucifer's Friend , Uriah Heep , Deep Purple , Captain Beyond and Genesis . Jessica Bausola from metalnews.de describes the music as a mixture of hard rock and doom metal and drew comparisons to bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin , Pentagram , Saint Vitus and older Grand Magus .
