Beer is a small impact crater in the eastern part of the Mare Imbrium . It is located less than 5 km southeast of the Feuillée crater and forms a pair of twins with almost identical craters. In the west, the small but eye-catching crater Timocharis crater stands out.

Similar to its twin Feuillée, Beer is circular and bowl-shaped. The sharp-edged crater shows no particular traces of erosion and lacks any other conspicuous features. The relatively small crater floor lies in the center of the sloping inner walls of the crater. The interior of the crater has a higher albedo than the surrounding surface, which indicates a fairly young crater. A series of tiny craters extends in an arc from its rim to the southwest. A shield volcano rises to the southeast , which has about the same diameter as the crater.

The sea surface in the east is lighter than the rest of the Mare Imbrium and this color extends to the foot of the Montes Archimedes .
