Beer Island (from English beer ' beer ' ) is a 1.5 km long island in the archipelago of the Biscoe Islands west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located immediately south of Jagged Island and 13 km west of Prospect Point .
The island was mapped and named by participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) led by the Australian polar explorer John Rymill .
