Authority center

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An authority center (BHZ) is an area on which many offices and authorities are located in a confined space or even in one building. This creates short distances for citizens, which is considered ideal by many planners and local authorities. Authority centers can either only include institutions from the city, district, administrative district or state or they can combine several of these components.

Authority centers are particularly common in medium- sized cities , where they usually include both city and county institutions.

When planning or renewing administrative structures, some federal states (e.g. Thuringia ) pay more attention to locating them in a confined space within a city. So z. B. in Artern , Erfurt , Ilmenau , Meiningen and Suhl in Thuringia since 2000 new authority centers.
