Behchokò ( Tłįchǫ for "place of Mbehchoe"), officially Tlicho Municipal Council of Behchokò is a municipality in the North Slave Region in the Canadian Northwest Territories . Behchokò is located on the Great Slave Highway, NWT Highway 3, at the northwest end of the Great Slave Lake , about 80 km northwest of Yellowknife .

The parish used to be called Rae-Edzo until it was renamed in 2005. The old name goes back to the two settlements of the municipality of Rae and Edzo, which are about 6 km as the crow flies across Marian Lake .

In 2006 Behchokò, including the inhabitants of the reserve, had 1,874 inhabitants, most of them of Indian origin, almost all of the inhabitants have lived there for at least three generations. It is the largest dene church in Canada.
