The BelAZ-7547 ( Russian БелАЗ-7547 ) is a dump truck from the Belarusian manufacturer BelAZ , which has been in series production since 2004. It is designed to move large quantities of overburden in deep open-cast mines with difficult conditions.

Development history

The BelAZ-7547 was designed as the successor to the BelAZ-7548 in the 1990s. The first prototype was manufactured in April 2000 and series production of the truck was implemented in May 2003 . In 2016, BelAZ developed the 75476 model, the first natural gas-powered dump truck that uses a modified JaMS 240NM2 engine. The 5000th BelAZ-7547 rolled off the assembly line on April 11, 2014. According to BelAZ, the dump truck was delivered to the former Soviet republics of Russia , Ukraine , Kazakhstan , Uzbekistan , Azerbaijan and Georgia , but also exported to Romania , the Czech Republic , Poland , Mongolia , Vietnam , Egypt , Benin and the People's Republic of China .

The BelAZ-7547 has rear-wheel drive (4 × 2) and reaches a maximum of 50 km / h. It is 8.09 m long, 4.11 m wide and 4.39 m high; the wheelbase is 8.09 m. It can be used at temperatures from −50 ° C to +50 ° C. The BelAZ-7547 is offered with different engine types and types. In addition to various diesel engines , a natural gas drive unit has been available since 2020. In the basic version BelAZ-7547, the truck is equipped with a JaMS-240NМ2 diesel engine from the Yaroslavsky Motorny Sawod . It is a V12 with turbocharging and a displacement of 22.3 liters, which produces 368 kW (500 hp) at 1600 rpm. The engine torque is transmitted via a hydrodynamic torque converter to a mechanical transmission with three speed levels. The suspension works hydropneumatically, there are stabilizers on both axles . The driver's cab , equipped with rollover protection , is located above the engine compartment and is accessible via a staircase at the front of the vehicle. The manufacturer offers various tipping bodies with different dimensions and loading capacities. Depending on the version, they hold 21.5 m³, 28.5 m³, 27.4 m³ or 35.9 m³. The trough can be moved from the horizontal to the tilt position with two hydraulic cylinders. The maximum payload is 45 tons, the manufacturer specifies the empty weight of the BelAZ-7547 with 33.1 tons, which results in a permissible total weight of 78.1 tons.
