The Bellevuepark is located in the Berlin district of Köpenick in the Treptow-Köpenick district .
History and design
A gardener's house has been located on the site of the later park since 1715. In addition, in 1766 the court clergy of St. Aubin built a manor house, the Schloss Bellevue , after which the park was named.
The castle was a gift from Henriette Marie von Brandenburg-Schwedt for the services of her court gardener. It was destroyed in World War II and not rebuilt. The gardener's house remained undamaged, so that the Berlin administration housed war refugees in it from 1945 to 1957. The Köpenick district then took over the building and used it as a storage room until 1990. After the fall of the Wall , the house was initially empty and fell into disrepair. In 1999 a renovation took place.
In the southern as well as in the southwest area of the park surrounding the building there is a pedunculate oak each , which is registered as beauties in the list of natural monuments. To the east of it stands a leather sleeve tree , which is also listed as a beauty as well as a rarity and peculiarity. In 1966 the administration inaugurated the bronze statue of Hans-Detlev Hennig with the title Harmonica Player in the southeastern part .
