The Belozem Hill ( Bulgarian Хълм Белозем ) is the most north-easterly of a series of hills along the Bulgarian Beach in eastern Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . The hill, which is free of snow in summer, consists of blocks of clay and has two peaks, the higher of which reaches 41 m . It rises 800 m northeast of Sinemorets Hill , 3.8 km west-southwest of Rezen Knoll and 1910 m southwest of Aleko Rock .
Spanish scientists mapped it in 1991, and measurements were taken on a Bulgarian Antarctic expedition (1995–1996). The hill bears the name of a Bulgarian village whose name literally means white earth . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee transferred the Bulgarian name to English in 1997.
