Benjamin Gazdic (born August 11, 1987 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian - Croatian ice hockey player who has been under contract with KHL Medveščak Zagreb in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League since 2010 . His brother Luke is also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Ben Gazdic began his career as a hockey player in his Canadian homeland, where he was active for one year each from 2004 to 2006 for the St. Michael's Buzzers and Wexford Raiders in the Ontario Junior Hockey League . The defender then attended McGill University for four years , for whose ice hockey team he also took part in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport game.

For the 2010/11 season , the Canadian with a Croatian passport moved to KHL Medveščak Zagreb from the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga and made his debut for Zagreb's professional team during the season. He played a total of 48 games for the capital club, in which he prepared four goals. In parallel, he came for the second team Medveščaks in the Slohokej League for use, in which he scored one goal in four games and gave two assists. With his team he also won the Croatian championship title in his first year .
