Ben Waters (* 1976 ) is a British boogie , blues and jazz - pianist .

Career

Ben Waters has his own band, a trio consisting of Waters (piano, vocals), Richard Hymas ( e-bass , vocals) and Ady Milward ( drums , vocals), sometimes supplemented by saxophonists , brass and other guest musicians.

In 2009 he founded the band The ABC & D of Boogie Woogie with pianist Axel Zwingenberger , Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts and double bass player Dave Green . The four musicians have since toured Europe several times.

In 2011 Waters released the album Boogie 4 Stu - A Tribute to Ian Stewart , with which he paid tribute to one of his role models, the pianist Ian Stewart . Charlie Watts, Dave Green, Jools Holland , PJ Harvey , Bill Wyman , Ron Wood , Keith Richards and Mick Jagger worked on the album . The piece Watching the River Flow is the first new recording since Bill Wyman's departure from the Rolling Stones , in which he can be heard together with the members of the band.
