Ben Westwood (born July 25, 1981 in Bradford ) is an English rugby league player. He plays for the Warrington Wolves in the Super League .

Career

Westwood began his career with the Normanton Knights, a semi-professional club near Wakefield, where he was discovered by the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats . In 2002 he moved to the Warrington Wolves. Initially still an inner three-quarters, he moved to the position of the second-row striker at the beginning of the 2005 season, which greatly improved his performance. In 2007 he was voted "Player of the Year" by both his team and the fans. In 2008 he was elected to the Super League Dream Team and took part in the 2008 Rugby League World Cup with the English national team. In 2009 and 2010 he won the Challenge Cup with Warrington . In 2011 he reached 1st place in the regular season with Warrington and took part in the Four Nations with England. In 2012 he won the Challenge Cup again with Warrington. In 2013 he again took part in the Rugby League World Cup with England.
