Bendix Trier

Bendix Trier (* 1930 ) is a German prehistorian .

Bendix Trier, son of Germanist Jost Trier , studied prehistory and early history at the University of Münster and received his doctorate in 1965 under Kurt Tackenberg . From 1973 until his retirement in 1995 he was director of the State Museum for Prehistory and Early History (from 1980 Westphalian Museum of Archeology) in Münster . During this time he also acted as editor of the archaeological journal Excavations and Finds in Westphalia-Lippe . He is an appointed advisory member of the Association of State Archaeologists in the Federal Republic of Germany.
