history

The band was founded in 2007/2008. After a few changes, the first permanent line-up was established in November 2008. The band had their first appearance together with The Black Dahlia Murder in January 2009. After the band had won the Icelandic final of the Wacken Open Air Metal Battles, they were able to play at the Wacken Open Air in August 2009. This was followed by further festival appearances at the Death Feast 2010 and the Neurotic Deathfest in 2011. In February 2010 the band released the first EP called Hollow Empty Void on Mordbrann Musikk . The EP contained four songs and two other live songs. In November 2009 the band went into the studio to record the debut album Enslaved by Fear . The sound carrier was mixed by Daniel Bergstrand in the Dug Out Studios in Uppsala . The band then signed a contract with Unique Leader Records , which was released in 2012.

style

According to Madam X from angrymetalguy.com , the band on Enslaved by Fear play a mixture of aggressive and technically demanding Death Metal. Thematically, the songs would mostly deal with topics such as rejection of religion, society, hatred, death, blood and gore . The music is comparable to the works of Meshuggah , Decapitated , Visceral Throne , Dawn of Demise or Dying Fetus . The singing is similar to that of Pekka Kokko from Kalmah and Mikael Åkerfeldt during his time with Bloodbath .
