Benedetta Cambiagio Frassinello (born October 2, 1791 in Langasco , Italy , † March 21, 1858 in Ronco Scrivia , Italy) was an Italian founder. She is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church.

Benedetta Cambiagio, the daughter of farmers, married Giovanni Frassinello in 1816. After two years of marriage, they vowed eternal chastity and abstinence for the rest of their lives. After the death of Benedetta's seriously ill sister, who was cared for by the couple, Giovanni entered a congregation of priests and Benedetta entered the Ursuline order . In 1826 she had to leave the order due to her poor health. After her recovery, with the permission of the Bishop of Pavia , she cared for abandoned girls and the needy. In 1827 she founded a school in Pavia, which gave rise to the Order of the Benedictine Sisters of Providence , dedicated to the education of girls.

Benedetta was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1987 and canonized in 2002.
