Benedetto Maria Salvatore Chianetta OSB (born October 29, 1937 in Favara , Province of Agrigento , Italy ) is Benedictine abbot emeritus of the territorial abbey of Santissima Trinità di Cava de 'Tirreni .
Life
Benedetto Maria Salvatore Chianetta joined the order of the Benedictines and was ordained a priest on July 8, 1961 . He was elected Abbot of Santissima Trinità di Cava de 'Tirreni on March 4, 1995 and Pope John Paul II confirmed this election on May 20 of the same year. He resigned from his office on October 23, 2010.
