Benedikt Hauser (born July 7, 1964 in Bad Godesberg ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Education and life

After graduating from high school, Benedikt Hauser studied law at the University of Bonn at the Bad Godesberg Aloisius College and completed his studies as a fully qualified lawyer . He works as a manager at Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH (RVK). Benedikt Hauser is married and has two sons. He comes from a Christian Democratic family of politicians: his father is Alo Hauser , half-uncle is Norbert Hauser .

Political activity

Benedikt Hauser has been a member of Bonn's city ​​council since 1994 and was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there from 2002 to 2010. In 2009 he ran as the top candidate for the city council, he won his seat on the city council by direct mandate in constituency 24 ( Bad Godesberg-Mitte ).

In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 , Hauser ran for the first time for the state parliament. With 38.50 percent of the first votes (compared to 32.57 percent for SPD candidate Renate Hendricks ), he won the direct mandate in the Bonn II state electoral district and was a member of the 15th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . In 2012 he lost his mandate with 33.15 percent in the early state election to Renate Hendricks (37.30 percent).
