Player career

Due to the war in Yugoslavia , he left Croatia and signed a contract with Chemnitzer FC . Despite relegation to the regional league , he made Tennis Borussia attention, after which he moved to Berlin in 1997 . In the surprise success of Tennis Borussia against Hertha BSC in the DFB Cup in October 1998 , Aračić scored two goals to make it 4-2. Only two months later, he signed a contract with local rivals and scored twice in his first game against Borussia Dortmund . At Hertha he played seven times in the Champions League , but could not prevail against the strong competition in the storm, which is why he moved to Arminia Bielefeld in 2000 .

In 2004 Aračić began his coaching career in the youth division of FC Augsburg . He later took over the U19 team from Augsburg and was also responsible for the school and technical training of the club. After having already acquired the A license, he successfully completed the DFB soccer teacher training course in March 2011 and thus received a UEFA Pro license.

Although his contract was later extended to 2017, his engagement in Stuttgart ended after the 2014/15 season. In September 2016 he became the coach of the regional league team FV Illertissen .
Aračić returned to VfB Stuttgart on January 30, 2018, and became assistant to head coach Tayfun Korkut, just like his new colleague Steven Cherundolo . On October 7, 2018, Aračić was released from his duties together with Korkut and Cherundolo.
