Benedikt Wolfgang Schiefer (born July 20, 1978 in Rosenheim ) is a German composer .

biography

Benedikt Wolfgang Schiefer studied composition with Wilfried Hiller at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich from 1998 to 2004 . From 2006 to 2009 he studied with Georg Friedrich Haas and Erik Oña at the University of Music in Basel and completed master classes with Kevin Volans and Beat Furrer . In addition to several awards and scholarships, Schiefer has also performed at several music festivals with his classical compositions and electronic music since 2000. He composed his first soundtrack for a feature film for the German-Polish drama Milchwald directed by Christoph Hochhäusler . In 2011, he was awarded the German Film Critics' Prize for his music on Unter dir die Stadt .
