Benedito Dias Quintas (born March 12, 1960 ), battle name Punu Fanu , is an East Timorese soldier of the Defense Forces of East Timor . He comes from Lospalos and currently has the rank of lieutenant colonel (as of 2020).

From the beginning of the 24-year Indonesian occupation from 1975 to 1999, Quintas took part in the liberation struggle in East Timor. With his body length of almost two meters, he stood out among the fighters. In the wild, he acted as a dentist for the fighters.

From November 21, 2016 to July 15, 2019, Quintas was in the army commander of the support unit ( tetum component Apoiu Servisu , Portuguese Componente Apoio Serviço CAS). In 2018 he completed a course on international law in armed conflict at the Brazilian Escola Superior da Guerra.

Quintas is the holder of the Ordem da Guerrilha .
