The BeneVita BKK was a German statutory health insurance from the group of company health insurance funds .

It was founded on September 7, 1902 as the company health insurance fund of C. Baresel AG . On January 1, 1993, HTP GmbH Ost was taken over. On January 1, 1996 there was a merger with BKK Alfred Kunz & Co and BKK Hermann Milke KG; both also company health insurance funds for construction companies. The name of the new health insurance was BKK Bau. Since 1996 the health insurance company has also been open to members from other professional groups. The basis for this was the right to a free choice of health insurance fund introduced in 1996. On January 1, 1997 another merger with BKK Hochbau followed. The name change to BeneVita BKK took place on January 1, 2004.

On January 1, 2005, BKK Bauknecht merged with BeneVita BKK and City BKK . City BKK was adopted as the name of the new company health insurance fund.
