The Bengtson Cliffs are bright, rocky cliffs on James Ross Island in West Antarctica . They rise up halfway between Cape Lachman and Andreassen Point on the east bank of Herbert Sound .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1993 after Peter Kristian Bengtson (* 1945) from Uppsala University , who worked for the British Antarctic Survey on James Ross Island from 1988 to 1989.
