Beni Chiker ( Arabic بني شيكر bni schika  'sons of Chiker') or Aït Chichar ( Central Atlas Tamazight ⴰⵢⵜ ⵛⵉⴽⵔ Ayt Ciker ), also Cheikr , is a village in northern Morocco in the province of Nador .

This place is about 4 km from the Spanish enclave of Melilla . It is mainly inhabited by Moroccan Berbers . Beni Chiker is located in the Rif mountain range . The Berber accent "Takerit" is usually spoken within Beni Chiker , which is a modified form of the Tarifit accent, as well as the official language Arabic . The population is around 23,050 (as of 2005). Beni Chiker is accessible from Nador International Airport and Beni N'sar Overseas Port.

The most important branch of the economy is agriculture . Are grown wheat , legumes , olives , figs , almonds , wine and apricots . There is a little livestock mainly for local needs as well as beekeeping for export .

The municipality has several extensive sandy beaches that have not yet been used for tourism.

Beni Chiker is the birthplace of the writer Mohamed Choukri (1935–2003) and the French politician Najat Vallaud-Belkacem (* 1977), former government spokeswoman and minister of education.
