Benito Stanislao Andreotti OSB (born August 3, 1924 in San Giorgio Lucano , † October 16, 2003 in Subiaco ) was Abbot Bishop of the Territorial Abbey of Subiaco .

Life

Benito Stanislao Andreotti joined the Congregation of Benedictine in, put the profession on October 25, 1940 and received on 18 September 1948, the priestly ordination . He was elected Abbot of Subiaco on March 25, 1977.

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Vazari on February 10, 1982 . The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops , Cardinal Sebastiano Baggio , consecrated him Bishop on March 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Martino Matronola OSB, Archabbot and Abbot Bishop of Montecassino and Archbishop Paul Augustin Mayer OSB, Secretary of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and for Societies of Apostolic Life .

He resigned from his office on June 3, 1995.
