Benjamin Gavanon (born August 9, 1980 in Marseille ) is a French football player . He is the older brother of Jérémy Gavanon , goalkeeper at AS Cannes .
Club career
Benjamin Gavanon played in his youth for the biggest club in his hometown Olympique Marseille . It was there that he received his first professional contract in 2000, but was only used once for a 7-minute assignment by the end of 2002. He was therefore loaned to Nottingham Forest for half a year . But even with Forest he did not make the breakthrough in the first team and returned to France without commitment. Gavanon signed with the second division AS Nancy for two years . There he was able to establish himself immediately as a regular player and was part of the team that made promotion to Ligue 1 in 2005 and won the Coupe de la Ligue a year later . In the 2009/10 season he was loaned to FC Sochaux .
