Benjamin Almoneda
Benjamin J. Almoneda (born April 11, 1930 in Naga City , Philippines ) is Bishop Emeritus of Daet .
Life
Benjamin J. Almoneda was ordained a priest on March 22, 1958 . On December 19, 1989, John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Thimida and auxiliary bishop in Daet .
The Pope personally donated him episcopal ordination on January 6th of the following year ; Co-consecrators were Giovanni Battista Re , Official of the State Secretariat , and Miroslav Stefan Marusyn , Secretary of the Congregation for the Eastern Churches .
On June 7, 1991, he was appointed Bishop of Daet. On April 4, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
