Benjamin Maier (born April 19, 1994 in Hall in Tirol ) is an Austrian bobsleigh driver .

Life

Maier won the silver medal in the two-man bobsleigh competition with Robert Ofensberger at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck . He represented Austria at the 2014 Winter Olympics . The two-man team, consisting of Benjamin Maier and Markus Sammer , took 22nd place in Sochi . He represented Austria again at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . With Sammer he reached eighth place overall in the two-man bobsleigh, as well as seventh place in the four-man bobsleigh with Kilian Walch , Dănuț Moldovan and Sammer.
