Benjamin Mau

Benjamin Mau (born November 24, 1991 in Hamburg ) is a German American football player.

career

Stefan Mau's son played soccer and American football as a teenager . Between 2010 and 2012 Mau was in the service of the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes as a wide receiver and became German champions with the townspeople in 2010. The Kiel master team also included his brother Marlon as players and his father Stefan as a member of the coaching staff. From 2012 to 2014 Mau played with the Elmshorn Fighting Pirates and then in 2015 with the Hamburg Huskies in the GFL .

In 2015, the two-meter-tall Mau went to the United States , studied communications at Waldorf University , Iowa, and was a member of the NAIA's football college team. In 2017, Mau took second place with the German national team at the World Games in Breslau . In the final he was defeated with the Germans of the French selection, in whose coaching staff his father Stefan was active.

For the 2019 season he returned to Germany and rejoined the Elmshorn Fighting Pirates, with whom he rose to the top German league for the first time in the club's history in October 2019.
