Benjamin Morton Seal

Benjamin Morton Siegel (born March 26, 1916 - March 22, 1990 in Sarasota ) was an American physicist.

Siegel received his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1940 . He has worked at Harvard University and Brooklyn Poly . From 1949 until his retirement in 1986 he was Professor of Applied Engineering Physics at Cornell University . The main areas of activity were high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and molecular biophysics . He built up the Institute for Electron Microscopy and published numerous specialist articles.
