Benjamin Otto

Benjamin Otto (born June 9, 1975 in Hamburg ) is a German entrepreneur and member of the Supervisory Board of the Otto Group .

Career

Otto grew up in Hamburg as one of Michael Otto's two children . After graduating from high school, he trained as a banker at Berenberg Bank . This was followed by a degree in International Business at the European Business School in London.

After his first professional positions abroad, Benjamin Otto founded his first company in autumn 2003, Intelligent House Solutions, which offers solutions in the smart home sector. Intelligent House Solutions became the medium-sized group of companies for project development, evoreal Holding, in which Benjamin Otto was a partner until the end of 2018. In 2013 Benjamin Otto founded the e-commerce start-up Collins together with his co-managing directors Tarek Müller, Sebastian Betz and Hannes Wiese , which produced About You and Edited, among others. On June 1, 2015, he took on the role of “creative partner” in the Otto Group, in order to focus primarily on strategic issues relating to the company's direction. Benjamin Otto is also involved in various internet startups.

Benjamin Otto is involved with the HHI Holistic Health Institute Foundation for healing through holistic, alternative treatment methods and with the Holistic Foundation together with his wife Janina Lin Otto for holistic, non-profit projects. He is also the managing director of BOPC GmbH, CoWork rocks GmbH and House of Life Hamburg GmbH & Co KG. He is also active on the board of trustees of the Michael Otto Foundation, on the shareholders' council of Otto GmbH & Co. KG and on the supervisory board of the management company Otto mbH.
