Benjamin Schreer

Benjamin Schreer is a German political scientist .

Life

From 1995 to 2001 he studied political science, English philology and modern German literature at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel and Coventry University . From 2001 to 2003 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Security Policy at Kiel University . From 2003 to 2008 he was a research assistant at the Science and Politics Foundation (SWP), Berlin, and since 2005 deputy research group leader of the research group on security policy. After graduating as Dr. phil. In 2008 at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel he was co-head of the research group "Conflict Generators" in the Cluster of Excellence, University of Konstanz . He teaches and researches security and strategy studies with a focus on the Asia Pacific region at Macquarie University .

His research interests are strategic security policy, transatlantic security and defense policy.
