Benni Efrat (* 1936 in Beirut , Lebanon ) is an Israeli conceptual artist , painter, sculptor and experimental filmmaker .

life and work

Benni Efrat was born in Beirut in 1936 and emigrated to Israel in 1947. From 1959 to 1961 he studied at the Avni Institute of Art and Design in Tel Aviv with the Israeli painter Yehezkel Streichman. Efrat left Israel in 1966 to study at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. He lived and worked in New York (1975–1981), Paris (1981–1983), Amsterdam (1983–1992), Belgium (1993–2007) and returned to Israel in 2007.

Benni Efrat dates his works from the year 2030. 94 is the age of his assumed death.
