Benno Weimann

Benno Weimann (born April 15, 1926 in Cologne ; † July 1, 1996 ) was a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Benno Weimann studied law at the University of Cologne . In 1952 he received his doctorate. jur. and passed the major state law examination in 1953 . He worked as a business lawyer from 1953 to 1961 . From 1962 to 1969 he was a member of the board of the Steinkohlenbergwerk Heinrich-Robert AG , Hamm. From 1969 to 1973 he was a member of the board of directors and, since 1974, chairman of the board of Gelsenwasser AG , Gelsenkirchen.

Benno Weimann had been a member of the CDU since 1956. He was councilor of the city of Hamm from 1956 to 1961.

Benno Weimann was from July 25, 1966 to May 27, 1975 and again from May 29, 1980 to May 29, 1985 a member of the 6th , 7th and 9th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia , which he entered via the state list. He moved to the 8th state parliament on February 23, 1976.
