Benoît-Gilles Dufourd (born May 13, 1984 in Annemasse ) is a former French cross-country skier .

Career

From 2002 to 2011, Dufourd mainly took part in the Cross-Country Skiing Continental Cup and the Cross-Country Skiing Alpine Cup. He ran his first of a total of 13 World Cup races in January 2006 in Oberstdorf , which he finished in 33rd place in the skiathlon . At the U23 World Championships in 2006 in Kranj , he finished 18th over 15 km classic and 16th in the skiathlon. His best result at the Winter Universiade 2007 in Pragelato was sixth place in the skiathlon. At the U23 World Championships in 2007 in Tarvisio , he achieved 28th place over 15 km freestyle and in the skiathlon. In February 2009 he achieved his first podium in the Alpine Cup with second place in the 15 km freestyle in Schilpario . In 2010 he won the La Foulée Blanche and was third at the Alpine Cup in Campra over 15 km freestyle. In his last active season 2010/11 he came in the Tour de Ski 2010/11 on the 34th place. He got his first and only World Cup points in the Val di Fiemme with the 26th place in the final stage. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , he finished 49th over 15 km classic.
