Benoît Lepelletier

Benoît Lepelletier (born July 10, 1978 ) is a French chess player . He has held the title of International Master since 1995 .

His first major international success was a second place at the U14 World Cup in 1992 in Duisburg . He regularly takes part in the French individual championship . His best result there was third place in 1995 in Toulouse . He achieved a grandmaster norm in 1996 at the Tournoi du GMI du CEIT in Toulouse. In French leagues he plays for the club Thomas Bourgneuf - Créteil , with whom he played in the then top division, the Top 16, in the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons . He used to play for Echiquier Orangeois , with whom he was represented in the top division (Nationale I and Top 16) in the 2001/02 and 2003/04 seasons . His Elo rating is 2477 (as of July 2016). In January 1997, he had his previous highest rating with 2485. He was then 13th in the French Elo ranking.
